| Introduction |
 |
Roberta McCutcheon has been
teaching history for thirty years and has received
several awards as a high school teacher including
the DAR New York City Chapter American History Teacher
of the Year Award and the Delta Kappa Gamma Golden
Apple Award in recognition of outstanding excellence
in education. She is currently teaching at Trevor
Day School in New York City and is Chair of the
Upper School History Department. Her focus is American
history.

Fred Freitas has been teaching for thirty-seven
years, the last thirty-three of which have been
at Gates Intermediate School, in Scituate, MA. He
has served as a Trustee of the Scituate Historical
Society and has co-authored three books on local
history. |
