Lesson Plan 1: High School



This lesson will fulfill the following NCHS National History Standards:

Era 7: The Emergence of Modern America (1890-1930) -- Standard 1: How Progressives and others addressed problems of industrial capitalism, urbanization, and political corruption; and Standard 2: The changing role of the United States in world affairs through World War I.



Lesson Plan 2: High School



This lesson will fulfill the following NCHS National History Standards:

Era 4: Expansion and Reform (1801-1861) -- Standard 4C: The student understands changing gender roles and the ideas and activities of women reformers.


Lesson Plan 3: Middle School



This lesson will fulfill the following NCHS NCHS National History Standards:

Era 4: Expansion and Reform (1801-1861) -- Standard 3: The extension, restriction, and reorganization of political democracy after 1800; and Standard 4: The sources and character of cultural, religious, and social reform movements in the antebellum era.


Lesson Plan 4: Elementary School



This lesson will fulfill the following NCHS National Standards for History:

Era 4: Expansion and Reform (1801-1861) -- Standard 3: The extension, restriction, and reorganization of political democracy after 1800; and Standard 4: The sources and character of cultural, religious, and social reform movements in the antebellum period.
